Restless Natives Films was chosen to shoot an original short film to be part of the Oklahoma Centennial Celebration. The film stars Steven Judd and Norris Samuels. It has been a great experience working with Norris who speaks his native Choctaw language throughout the short film (sub-titled). We also had the opportunity to work with some great people including one of the most celebrated Native American artists, Chief Enoch Kelly Haney. Chief Haney has also served several terms in the Oklahoma House of Representatives and as an Oklahoma Senator. His statue “The Guardian” which adorns the top of our State Capitol’s dome is prominently featured in our film.
We are shooting in High-Definition and I had the opportunity to get behind the camera as Second Director of Photography.
Here are a few photos taken during the shoot.
